Trail Report #12 Winter 2013-2014

Our trails were groomed earlier this week. There was a lot of work to do after the warm weather of last weekend along with the heavy use of the trails. There is still good snow coverage but it is definitely spring sledding. Longer daylight hours and nights where the temp remains above freezing make the snow pack melt faster. We will only groom at night now and only if the temperature is below freezing. The season officially ends April 15 or earlier if land owners close gates or other post their property.

The logging operation at EX-42 South America Pond Rd has ended. There is a logging operation on the F-2 trail at it heads into Guildhall village from the north. Every effort has been made to keep the snowmobile trail separate for this logging operation. There is road sharing on the old railroad bed up to EX-541.
