The warm weather and rain of this past week have not helped the trails at all. This past weekend we received 4”-5” of light fluffy snow that was then rained on which created a crust layer. Lower elevations have little to no snow cover at this time. And while there is some snow in upper elevations, getting there is nearly impossible. The snow/ice combination has also done a number on trees along the trails with resulting branches interfering with riding. Several areas of our trail network have washed out culverts, overflowing water bars, low hanging trees &/or blow downs. For the most part stumps and rocks are exposed or very minimally covered on our wooded trails. F-98 and F-2 have not been opened yet. Trail hazards occur unexpectedly and are not always apparent, ride at your own risk. Overall we need several snow storms to add to the base.
