Trail Report #2 Winter 2017-2018

Well as of last week Thursday (January 11) all of our trails had been groomed. But alas Friday the temperatures rose to unbelievable levels and set records in some areas. Trails were very, very soft and not good to ride on. Then the rain came and lots of snow disappeared. The warm temperatures didn’t help but they soon plummeted and there was a coating of sleet, and then snow. Unfortunately, it was not enough snow but perhaps over the next few days there will be more. The other bad news is that our groomer is down and has a serious engine problem requiring it to be trucked to an engine repair garage. When and to what extent the repairs will be, remains an open question. In the meantime, we will not be grooming.
