Last week considerable snow fell on our trail network. That was followed by heavy rain (1.5”) which made the trails very mushy. Groomer operators were out and tried to make the trails good. It was difficult to groom due to the amount of wet heavy snow. There were also reports of ice/water on sections of the trails which should be frozen by now. Tue into Wed this week there was more snow in the north east. It will take the remainder of this week to finish grooming the trails and clearing parking lots. Trail conditions will be good this week for the Vermont free weekend Feb 1-3, 2019. Due to the anticipated higher than normal snowmobile traffic this weekend we urge everyone to exercise extreme caution while out on the trails. As always, grooming can occur at any time and groomers have the right-of-way.

As always ride with caution and always under control. Several accidents this year have been the result of out-of-control sledders and excessive speed.
